Janmäñöamé 2019

Lord Çré Kåñëa is Sarva Loka Maheçvara, Sarveçvareçvar, Sarvätéta, Sarvamaya, Acintya, Ananta, Virodhé Guëa Sampanna.. so is His Auspicious Birth- Acintya, Ananta.. Appearance of Lord on this earth dispels the darkness caused by adharma and appearance of Lord in the hearts of the devotees dispels the darkness of ignorance..

The day of Janmäñöamé marks this Auspicious birth, the appearance day of LordÇré Kåñëa and is celebrated every year by KARM Devotees in a grand manner. Like every year, this year Janmäñöamé was celebrated with full vigour on 24th of August 2019.

Enthusiastic KARM Devotees planned months before, as usual, to turn the Janmäñöamé Day into a grand celebration. Some planned for the theme while some for the colour set, some searched for the Venue while some put thoughts for the prasädaà menu.. All Devotees spent their days and nights in searching for, planning and arranging for varied gift options…for the only thought occupying everyone’s mind was to serve the Devotees newer and better.

Then arrived the awaited Day, the Janmäñöamé Day. Devotees packed their bags and arrived at the Venue with various paraphernalia including decoration articles, sheets, curtains etc and the offerings to be served to Devotees there. The time of Dawn..around 6 AM…saw Devotees getting into the Venue, enthusiastically and very quickly carrying out all decoration. Backdrop was prepared by some while the Vyäsa Äsana was laid by some, Altar of Deities was decorated by some while the attractive bunches of flowers were prepared and hung by some.

Some prepared colourful raìgolé while some decorated the entrance gate, some set the Abhiñeka Table while some arranged the 56 Bhoga.

Sooner arrived the scheduled time of the celebration, when ÇRÉ GURUDEVA entered the Venue, with the entire Hall resounding and resonating with sounds of ullu dhvani, conchshells, Kértanas by Devotees with playing of karatälas and mådaìgas.

ÇRÉ GURUDEVA paid Obesiances to the Deities, performed abhiñeka of Lord Çré Kåñëa Deity with païcämåta including ghee, sugar, milk, curd and honey, very lovingly caressing the Lord. After ÇRÉ GURUDEVA, all the Devotees also got Blessed with the Opportunity to do abhiñeka.

This was followed by çåìgära and the ärati of the Lord..various ärati padas as per Gauòéya Vaiñëava Tradition were sung along with by the Devotees.

Like always, 56 bhoga, with only the name being 56 while the number exceeding many 56s was offered to the Lord. Though the 56 Bhoga tables were laid and set in the beginning itself, but with more and more devotees arriving at the venue, the bhoga items kept multiplying throughout. Final number crossed 2111+.

Bhoga items ranged from 56 drinks, 56 biscuits, 56 sweets, 56+ muffins, 56 pakoras, 56+ bread rolls, 56 meethe rice, 56+ toffees and many many matthis, namkeens, digestives and other cooked items. Service attitude of KARM Devotees always reaches newer heights as exemplified by a devotee couple who served 56 types of yellow things in the 56 bhoga.

Then came the time when the very very beautiful Presentations prepared by KARM Devotees putting in all their hard work and extraordinary efforts were shown. Presentations depicted glories of the Lord, celebration of Janmäñöamé Festival and how heartily Janmäñöamé is celebrated by KARM Devotees.

After Presentations, play showing the nitya rasamayé lélä (eternal pastimes) of Çré Çré Rädhä Kåñëa as prepared by enthusiastic KARM Devotees for the pleasure of the Lord was performed.

Thereafter arrived the most awaited time, when ÇRÉ GURUDEVA, on the request of the Devotees, presided over the Vyäsa Äsana and drenched the hearts of the devotees in the nectarine stream of Hari Kathä. Through the Kathä, Parama Gopanéya Rahasya (highly confidential) glories of Çré Kåñëa Näma were revealed by ÇRÉ GURUDEVA giving all evidences/instances from Scriptures. The day of Janmäñöamé turned to be extra blessingsful for some KARM Devotees who were mercifully blessed with Dékñä by ÇRÉ GURUDEVA.

Next blessing for the day was the opportunity to witness and be a part of cake cutting by ÇRÉ GURUDEVA. Two different cakes, one ann and one non-ann reflecting the Goloka Dhäma were prepared by the Devotees for Lord’s pleasure.

Fortunate Devotees then got the opportunity to try to do offerings to ÇRÉ GURUDEVA and to the Devotees, seeking Blessings and for their purification. Gifts as served ranged from panjéré laddus to california almonds, roasted dry fruits to ämlä candies to murabbäs, cow ghee, diaries, pens, soaps, tomato purees, packed ginger paste, sauces, rose water, assorted lavishly packed cookies, burfés, dodäs, ghevara… Even words fall short to explain the service filled hearts of generous Devotees who crossed all limits and served items like electric lunch box, mixer grinder to the Devotees.

ÇRÉ GURUDEVA, desiring only and only the welfare of the Devotees, blessed them further with a small talk explaining the importance of gratitude in a Devotee’s life. ÇRÉ GURUDEVA also reciprocated with the Devotees by appreciating the loving efforts put in by each one of them in thinking for, cooking, arranging 56 bhoga, decoration seva etc.

Never wished for time arrived with the blink of an eye when merciful ÇRÉ GURUDEVA left from the venue, instilling the hearts of the devotees with ever increasing enthusiasm to carry their further seväs and to prepare energetically for the next celebration.
